Thanks to All A Board Games, BIGCON is a go.  This inaugural event will be held at the Kamloops Convention Centre on 25/26th September, 2010.

Right now the organizing committee is contacting suppliers/publishers/vendors and any other body that will help make this an exciting event for you, the participant!

A number of phone calls and visits may have proved fruitfull.  TRU was too expensive and did not have the date we wanted.  The Interior Savings Centre has a contract with Ticketmaster and so any tickets purchased by you would have had a service fee.  Also, the ISC reserves the right to pull out of the contract up to 60 days beforehand if a 'bigger' event wants use of the facility!  Well they can go --------------- (fill in the blank).

Finally, I visited Kamloops Convention Centre and was amazed at their facilities.   Members of the organizing group will be checking it out on Tuesday evening and will come to a final decision.  A great venue - now we have to see if we can afford it!

On Saturday 10th April the idea of a BC Interior Convention became reality.  A group of like minded gamers - with backgrounds in CCG, RPG, board games, miniatures, game art, and game design - met and became the defacto BIGCON committee.
